I have been using Wordpress blogs for most of my new sites in the past two years.  This is because they just seem to get indexed faster and, even better, to rank faster for my keywords.

After testing different combinations of SEO plug ins and methods, I finally have come up with an action plan that works every time to get me ranked for my desired keywords.

With medium or less competitive words, I usually get ranked within 1 week from launching a new site.  This requires a combination of optimizing your blog post titles and URL links, posting your new blog feed to certain RSS aggregators, doing some smart backlinking, and using certain plug ins when installing your blog.

Because I like to test and compare, I did compare launching a blog without these plug ins and there was a significant difference in the effectiveness of a wordpress blog without them.

In other words, the blogs I launched without using these plug ins (but otherwise using the same other methods for promotion) took much longer to get indexed and to start even showing up for my keywords.
